A student of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) Akoka, Lagos mainland, has been shot dead.
He was shot in the head around 10pm yesterday, in front of Art complex, where he died.
A student of the institution said the guy was the second person murdered during this semester.
Another student said a female student also sustained gun shot and has been rushed to the hospital.
In a video that went viral, the victim with dreadlocks hairstyle wore a sky blue Jean and a black top. He was seen in in pool of blood.
The late Akerodele Bello Adisa was an HND2 student of of Art and Design (Sculpture) with the MATRICULATION number, F/HD/21/3320024 from the faculty of Art
According to eyewitness, he was shot in the head at close range in front of the Art, Design and printing complex in the college.
The Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin, a Superintendent of Police (SP), confirmed the killing.
“I just spoke with the Divisional Police Officer (DPO). It is confirmed. A man was killed. We’ll notify you once we get further information,” he said.
Also confirming, the PRO of the institution, Joe Ejafor, said he got the news while at the school N50 Billion Naira Endowment Launch that was held at Eko Hotel and Suit.
According to him, “I can’t ascertain what really happened because the whole management were at the launch yesterday but the Police Authority are investigating the case.”
