ORUMBA UNITES FOR DR. GODWIN MADUKA – – On Saturday, 5th September, the Nzukora Orumba paid a courtesy visit to Chief Okey Ezeibe (Oranyelueze) in his Awgbu home.

This August visit is for the progress and development of Orumba Constituency and Anambra State in general.

The delegation led by the Chairman of Nzukora Orumba, Prof. Godwin Onu was made up of leaders of thought, notable politicians, captains of industry and resourceful men and women who have volunteered themselves to champion the cause of political and economic emancipation of Orumba while ensuring peaceful development and progress of Anambra State.

In his speech, Prof. Onu condoled with Chief Ezeibe over the death of his father and advised him and his siblings to bear the loss and maintain their late father’s good legacies.

He also pleaded with him to assist Nzukora Orumba in ensuring that the the next Governor of Anambra State comes from the Orumba stock.

They assured him that Orumba has a capable and formidable candidate in the person of Dr Godwin Maduka(Okosisi Orumba) who incidentally is contesting for Governor under the platform of PDP. They informed Chief Ezeibe that Orumba as the most marginalized Constituency in the South zone is no longer comfortable playing the role of observer in the sociopolitical equation of Anambra State. They affirmed their unity and determination to stand by Dr Maduka in his gubernatorial ambition.

In his response, Chief Okey Ezeibe who is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Nzukora Orumba thanked the delegation for making the bold step and assured them that he will contribute his quota to ensure that Orumba is no longer shortchanged in the scheme of things in Anambra State.
