RE: FAILED EPM MOCK PRIMARIES. – – When we heard that EPM was about to stop fooling themselves with their we are United aspirants posturing, those of us that were never deceieved by the facade that they have been putting up, knew that it was only a matter of when, not if they will scatter. For it was clear they will not only scatter,but they will eat out themselves in the process. It is already out of control. The pillaging locusts gathered in their legions at the home of Lucky Imasuen. Their audacity to gather in the face of the CONVID 19 epidemic is mind boggling. Their Venality and cupidity for power is mind boggling. Thus, even God and the gods of the land has taken sides against them.

What struck home for me was the speech given by the former minority whip, Hon Samson Osagie to Hon Proff Julius Ihonvbere when he realized that after the Washington Osifo led 14 Uninaugurated members of the Edo state house of assmbly have swindled Hon Pius ODUBU Esq,1 million naira each and was about voting for Osagie Ize Iyamu. He said:

‘Sir, you are a professor and by the grace of God, the member representing Owan federal constituency, myself speaking, I am a former member of the Edo state house of assembly from where I went to the national assembly and was even a principal officer. I know you know the law and the rules of this country and the legislature very well. I am making this speech becaus, from the list you have circulated of those eligible to participate in this exercise we are here for, I am seeing strange 14 names tagged members elect. Sir,there is no word in law like that. It is either you are a serving house member like yourself or a former house member like myself. There is nothing like members elect. That they refused to join their colleagues for inauguration for reasons best known to them and from which they have proffitted from is not reason why they should be given the status and privileges of honorable members that they are not. They are not even fit to be in this premises for this meeting’.

That speech brought about the end of that evil gathering as voices for and voices against became tensed.

Lessons from this meeting, I am sure we can all learn from for our personal lives,the way Washington Osifo and his misled gang of 14 should. Out of hate and greed, and miscalculation…they shot themselves in the foot, thinking they were aiming at H.E Godwin Enogheghase Obaseki. Indeed their greed is garish. In the early days, the camps that hailed Washington Osifo and his misguided team as apostle of democracy and legislative Independence have now been forced to draw their attention to the fact that all that they have been doing is buffoonery on a industrial scale. They were forced to tell Washington and his gang the truth because now,the rule of the enemy of my enemy is my friend no longer applies. Now that it has come to personal survival, and their need for the Uninaugurated members exhausted, they had to do them the favor of telling them that the game is over for them. Omashe ooh.

In life we must learn to pick our battles and we must never wrestle our chi(EHI) , no matter how well we can wrestle.

Godwin Enogheghase Obaseki is the Governor of Edo state and we are committed to his re election, and this writer is a student of politics under Hon Charles Idahosa JP, the state leader of Edo APC who has on behalf of the good people of Edo led the charge against godfatherism from the former labor leader and former Governor of Edo state.
