His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi (Kusenla III) of Ikate-Elegushi Kingdom has spoken on the End SARS brutality and call for reform of the Nigeria Police Force.
Oba Elegushi says the SARS Protest calls for serious consideration.
He promise to keep engaging the government until they listen to the Nigerian Youths.
His short note reads –
The ongoing protest, which is calling for reforms in our Police and making them more responsible to the citizens, calls for serious consideration on the part of the government.
In our capacity, we continue to engage the authorities on why these voices should not be ignored and urgent actions taken on their demands. Police brutality must stop and citizens’ rights must be protected.
I am confident that the government will no longer treat issues such as this with kid gloves and I want to appeal to all Nigerians, particularly those at the forefront of this protests to continue to peacefully engage the authorities and ensure they match words with action.
