STAR BOY MONI.J JOINS STAND UP TO CANCER LAGOS CAMPAIGN WITH AFRIGLOBAL MEDICARE AND KIDS MATTAZ

Just after the release of Everyday by MoniJ decided to support kids living with cancer he walked the streets of Lagos on Sunday, 29th September, to create awareness that kids too have cancer and can survive it if detected early and treated.

 

Afriglobal Medicare and Kids Mattaz aimed to raise awareness about Innovative Cancer Research and encourages Nigerians to help change the face of Cancer.



This two group have also joined forces to launch a new Public Service Awareness (PSA) campaign featuring the 10 yrs old superstar “Moni.J”. The campaign, including print, TV, radio, out-of-home, and digital PSAs, will be seen in media outlets beginning September, 2019.

 

The PSA, “Life in the Face of Cancer,” highlights the importance of cancer research to get new treatments to patients quickly so they can thrive. One in two Nigerians will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetimes, if his is not handled well and cancer is the country’s leading cause of death. About 41,000 Nigeria were diagnosed with cancer in 2018 (112 diagnosed every day).

 

MoniJ took to the streets of Lagos with a large number of supporters, alongside Afriglobal Medicare, creating awareness for Children living with cancer.

 

“This cause is incredibly close to my heart, and I’m proud to be involved in this effort to raise awareness about cancer treatment options,” said the crooner of EveryDay, Moni J.

 

“I’m hopeful that progress in cancer research and clinical trials that are available will allow more Nigerians to thrive in the face of cancer.”

 

PSA powerfully states, “We all have a story to tell and no matter who you are—a mother, a son, a best friend—cancer will change your life forever. But with research, we can change the story and help Nigerians affected by cancer to live their lives to the fullest.”
