'Your loyalty still tied to Atiku', group slams Ize-Iyamu

Stop attacks on gov. Obaseki, Ize-Iyamu tells supporters – – The Ize-Iyamu Campaign Organization(ICO) has, Saturday, 9th May, ordered supporters to stop all forms of attacks against Edo State governor, Godwin Obaseki.

This statement statement was made from the Campaign Organization on Saturday morning after a zoom meeting between the Reinstated national Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Oshiomhole and four other aspirants, which started on Friday night.

The Governorship aspirants campaigning on the platform of the ‘outlawed’ Edo Peoples Movement (EPM) are Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, Mr Pius Odubu, Engr. Chris Ogiemwonyi and Mr Solomon Edebiri.

The meeting was due to the inability of Oshiomhole to impose Ize-Iyamu as EPM consensus Candidate against the wishes of others who had threatened to rock the boat if the process is skewed to favour him on Friday night.

The Campaign Organization, directed its social media handlers and supporters to back down and stop unnecessary attacks on the Governor forthwith.

A confidential source who was privy to the zoom meeting hinted that Ize-Iyamu who has vowed not prepared to work for Odubu if he fails to secure the ticket, took the decision after a careful review of the dicy situation body language of Oshiomhole, former Governor of Edo State.

“And that until they get a green light that Ize-Iyamu will emerge victorious in the race, all his social media team should revert.”

“This is a fatal blow on Ize-iyamu aspiration. It’s also an indication that his Governorship aspiration is heading for the ditch as other EPM leaders and Oshiomhole have all dashed his hopes for Odubu’s Candidature”, the source said.”

“All Governorship aspirants on EPM are yet to include on the choice of a consensus Candidate.”

“But, it is clear that l Oshiomhole has backed down on Ize-iyamu, putting Odubu on a sound footing in the race ahead of Ize-Iyamu”, according to the source who said the meeting ended in a fiasco.
