British journalist Omid Scobie’s new book “Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival” has  alleged that Taylor Swift turned down an invitation to perform at the coronation concert held outside Windsor Castle last May in celebration of the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla.

However, Scobie reportedly did not specify why the American singer-songwriter declined the invitation in his book. But at the time, Taylor was scheduled to perform at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, from May 5 to 7 for her “The Eras Tour.”

Other musicians reportedly invited to perform at the coronation concert included Harry Styles, Adele, Robbie Williams, the Spice Girls and Elton John. However, they all reportedly turned down the invite due to scheduling conflicts and other reasons.

Meanwhile, the official coronation concert lineup included Take That (except for Robbie Williams), Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, Andrea Bocelli, Sir Bryn Terfel, Freya Ridings, Alexis Ffrench, Paloma Faith, Olly Murs, Nicole Scherzinger, Lang Lang, Tiwa Savage, DJ Pete Tong and Bette Midler, among many others.

While unable to go to the concert in person, Tom Cruise, Dame Joan Collins, Bear Grylls and Sir Tom Jones filmed pre-recorded sketches to appear via video messages.

Scobie’s book, “Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival,” is out. HQ Stories described the British journalist’s publication as an “inside scoop on the world’s most famous family.”
