ONDO GOVT TO RECRUIT PRIMARY SCHOOLS' TEACHERS

We have so much wealth in farming, says Ondo State Deputy Governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa while declaring open the “1st Ondo State International Agric Show and Food fair”, held at the International Culture and Events Center ( The Dome ) in Akure on Wednesday.

 

“Ondo State stands out when compared with other States in Nigeria for obvious reasons, as our State is been affirmed by many as one of the peaceful State in Nigeria”.

 

“Therefore, investors and agriculturalists can come and invest in Agricultural products and it’s allied business so as to be part of Agricultural value chain in the Sunshine State”.

Aiyedatiwa who represented the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, stressed that, the State is blessed with good and arable land, highly resourceful youth population, good road networks, and peaceful environment for investors, particularly in Agric and Agro allied sector to tap into and make the best yield from their investment.



Continued, he said, “I must appreciate our Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN for his interest in Agric business, his desire to turn Ondo State into Agric business hub in Nigeria” .

 

The Deputy Governor further disclosed that, through the ‘Youths on the Bridge’, the State was investing more heavily in youths to helped them to be more involved and engaged in Agricultural sector’s transformation through technology and innovation.

Equally, Aiyedatiwa highlighted the growth and income generating Agric products in the state, stating that, “Ondo State is the leading producer of Cocoa in the Country, likewise, our State is taking the lead in the red gold revolution through a new dimension in Palm tree production” .

 

In his own good will message, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr Mohammad Mahmood Abubakar through his representative, Mrs Oguntuyi Abimbola Omolara extended the felicitations of the Minister to Ondo State governor and the people of the state.



The Minister expressed the commitment of Federal Government to the growth of Agriculture in Nigeria.

While welcoming stakeholders and others guest to the event, SSA to Governor on Agric and Agribusiness, Pastor Akin Olotu, acknowledged the support of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN to the cause of Agriculture in State, saying “the action of Mr Governor underscores the disposition of Ondo State towards Agriculture”.
