ONE YEAR INTO SANWO-OLU/ HAMZAT’S ADMINISTRATION AS IT CONCERNS IKORODU DIVISION
PDP Ikorodu LGA really concern about the performance of the Sanwo olu/ Hamzat led APC administration in Lagos State and as it concerns Ikorodu LGA.
Having observed critically the achievements of this administration in the areas of Infrastructures, health, Education, Security, Emergency Management, Agriculture, Youth, Transportation and Appointments in Ikorodu LGA as examined as follows:
Infrastructures: We noticed that in the area of infrastructural development, the administration started poorly, Oba Omolaja road in Igbogbo, Itamaga to Ijede road, Agric to Ori okuta road that has been abandoned by the failed Ambode administration further experienced neglect by the Sanwo Olu administration and causes many havoc for the motorist in these axis, world class traffic were also experienced during this era but with the noise of our great party PDP and good people of Ikorodu, these roads was rewarded, the contractors complained of no fund and had since disappear from these sites, AP junction to Gberigbe to Agura road is no go area and some other popular roads need urgent attention and to be upgraded.
Health: In the health sector, Sanwo Olu administration performed woefully in Ikorodu to the extent that the member of Lagos State house of Assembly, Hon. SOB Agunbiade representing Ikorodu constituency 1 went for a medical treatment in the UK and was stranded there to tell you the level of our hospitals in Ikorodu, the general hospitals in Ikorodu are poorly funded and under equipped.
Education: Sanwo Olu led APC administration also failed in the area of Education in our local Government, pupils still sits on the floor in our schools, we still experience crowded classrooms here.
Security: Security in Ikorodu division is no go area, we can’t sleep with our two eyes closed in Ikorodu division, cultism activities is a culture of our youths, this administration failed to protect our lives and properties in Ikorodu division.
Emergency Management: Sanwo Olu administration failed again in this aspect in Ikorodu LGA, boat capsiding happens in Ijede and Ibeshe seas, Lagos State emergency team failed to rescue these passengers on board after spending some hours on the seas, some people are still missing till now.
Agriculture: Sanwo-Olu administration was rated low in Agriculture in Ikorodu division, PDP Ikorodu and the good people here noticed that since inception of this administration the prices of Agriculture products skyrocketed to about 40% due to poor Agric policies and programs of this administration.
Youth: This administration also failed in the area of youth development, no youthful progressive program organised by this administration in the last one year, they failed to address some areas of the youth vices in our communities.
Transportation: You will all agree with my party PDP that Sanwo-Olu led APC failed woefully in this aspect in Ikorodu, the BRT system running in Ikorodu is a scam and mess, the BRT fare was increased despite the reduction in the pump prices of petrol and diesel products, passengers will be on a queue for about 45 mins to one hour before boarding, waterways transportation is not safe and too expensive.
Appointment: PDP Ikorodu and good people here are highly disappointed in the appointment of positions allocated to our division compare to the mass votes recorded for APC in Ikorodu, no commissionership position was giving to a whole division like Ikorodu, it’s really shameful and disgraceful.
In all we rate Sanwo-olu/ Hamzat’s administration VERY low in their first year administration.
