2023 Presidential Election: Buhari raises hope for Osinbajo
Fierce campaigns are underground by different powerful support groups ahead the 2023 general election, which is still three years away.
We gathered that many of these groups are bent on having the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo succeed the President, Muhammadu Buhari come 2023.
The different groups are led by prominent and powerful Nigerians and their activities make the vice president to bid for the All Progressives Congress(APC) presidential ticket when the primaries eventually come up throughout the country.
We gathered that one of the groups is quietly led by the wife of the President, Aisha Buhari, campaigning assiduously to ensure Osinbajo succeeds her husband.
The development is raising serious hope for the vice president as we further learnt that Mrs. Buhari is also persuading her husband to accept and support Osinbajo as the most loyal member of his cabinet.
The First Lady believed Osinbajo was also instrumental to her husband’s triumphs in the 2015 and 2019 general elections in the South West.
“The First Lady is seriously working underground to ensure that Osinbajo gets the APC’s ticket and once this is done, nobody can stop the vice president.”
“We know many people are against him and they are trying to set the president and his vice on collision course, but we thank God, the president’s wife is on top of the situation canvassing support for Osinbajo”, he explained.
It was also revealed that a former Senate President, Iyorchia Ayu is leading other support groups made up of powerful Nigerians drumming support for the vice president to contest the 2023 presidential election under the APC.
“Iyorchia Ayu is commanding other support groups and he is doing everything underground for Osinbajo to be acceptable to the leadership of the APC”, he concluded.
