Dr. Chidozie Nwankwo: As we get into shape, to swing into election activities in Anambra, it’s necessary to reiterate that those who should lead us, should be men and women who have successfully led others; those who have mutated success in their private and professional endeavors. Men who understand the working of the economy and what it takes to create jobs and eradicate poverty. The central problem of today is the economy. In 2021, for Anambra it’s still about the economy.
One of such candidate is Dr. Chidozie Nwankwo.
He was born in the year 1966 – 54 years ago – into the family of Chief and Mrs. Joseph Nwankwo of Ifite village, Oko in Orumba North LGA of Anambra State.
As a true son of the soil, he attended Central Primary School Odoakpu, Onitsha where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate and thereafter proceeded to Comprehensive Secondary School, Onitsha.
He went on to study Building Technology at GTC Onitsha and obtained a Federal Craft Certificate and complemented it, by further studying Building Technology under City & Guilds, London, before proceeding to Greenhills University, Denmark for his B.Sc degree in Building Services. He has gone on to acquire other technical and professional certification from reputable schools around the globe. He was awarded a Honorary Doctorate from Green Hills University, Denmark in 2013; for Leadership, Community Development and International Relations, and from the Commonwealth University Belize in 2015.
In 1985, he founded Chido Business Ventures. The company majored in distributing glass sheets and other building materials throughout Nigeria.
Today he is the CEO/ MD of Wichtech Industries Ltd. The company supplies high quality and specialized building materials to its numerous customers and has revolutionized the face of building in Nigeria.
Wichtech Industries Ltd has over 162 offices in Nigeria and other African countries and has built a reputation for distributing specialized quality building materials such as stone coated roofing sheets (Gerard products) from Fletcher Building Ltd, IPS plumbing solutions and Betek paints. Wichtech Homes is a foremost real estate concern involved in the construction of residential buildings and infrastructures.
He also led CHIDOO-DEHACO GROUP, which transformed shipping business from Asian countries to the eastern part of the country between 1997 to 2007. This group was the biggest customer to Maerskline in the Eastern part of Nigeria for 10years”.

Spiritual lives of people are not left out because over 30 missionary crusades have been organized and sponsored over the years with the provision of financial support for medical outreaches across the country. In all, over 100,000 families have been reached by the activities of the foundation.
Dr. Chidozie Nwankwo is a man who understands the economy and maybe what Anambra needs. He is a leader who wants to lead because he knows where we should head to, and knows the exact road to follow.
