A Consultant Gynecologist, Dr. Enoch Okpara of the Federal Medical Centre, FMC Gusau have been killed and burnt with tyres in his residence at Mareri in the outskirt of Gusau, the Zamfara State capital by unknown devils.
The remains of the deceased was found burnt beyond recognition, on Sunday, after the church he worshipped raised alarm of him missing after not showing up for a programme on Saturday morning, which was quite unusual.
It was gathered that the leaders of the church contacted some of his colleagues who tried his mobile phone number which rang repeatedly without response.
They also put a call to his colleagues at the Federal Medical Centre, FMC Gusau. His colleagues also said they did not see him.
They later saw his car parked inside the compound, then they suspected something was wrong.
Followed by the police who immediately mobilized some officers and men of the force to the Doctor’s residence, checking his his apartment, they found his body burnt with cuts in the courtyard while bloodstains were seen on the walls of the room.
Meanwhile, the Zamfara State Police Command has launched an investigation into the gruesome murder of the medical doctor.
Shehu Mohammed, Zamfara Police Spokesperson said the Commissioner of Police Usman Nagogo has ordered an investigation aimed at arresting the perpetrators and bringing them to justice.
