Police arrests FIRS staff, Felix Akeze, who held his wife, children at gunpoint, five days, for money

Chevron Drive FIRS Staff, Felix Akeze, was under “mental pressure”

A staff of the Federal Internal Revenue Service (FIRS), Felix Akeze, who held his wife and children at gunpoint has been arrested.

 

Mr Felix Akeze, the FIRS staff, reportedly threatened to kill his wife and children unless they repay him all he has spent on them.

 

Akeze allegedly held them hostage at gunpoint in their Chevron Drive home in the Lekki area of Lagos State for five days, Eons Intelligence reported.

 

Reports said the wife who is from Aku in Igbo Etiti LGA, Enugu state, alerted one of her brothers through the phone on Tuesday morning. She told him that the husband said she must pay all the money he spent on her and their children else he will kill all of them.



It was gathered that security men at the estate who have arrived the house at no 5b, Toyosi Adetoro street together with some policemen from Ajah division.

 

A media aide to FIRS chairman Johannes Wojuola said Akeze has been arrested by the police.

 

Wojuola said preliminary investigations showed that the FIRS staff was under “mental pressure”.

 

“Members of our own Security Team are at the scene and collaborating with the Chevron team to attend to the situation,” he said.
