Few days ago I had a very interesting conversation with a close friend that has been following my posts about Dr. Godwin Maduka on the social media. There was a particular publication with the picture of the 17 storey medical research center single handedly built by Dr. Godwin Maduka which attracted the attention of my friend. When my friend Onyebuchi saw the picture of the building for the first time, he couldn’t believe it. He chatted me up privately to enquire if truly the building was situated in Anambra State and I told him yes.

I guess he made his personal findings and then called me few days after to express his shock.

According to him, what really surprised him is that the building is a hospital and not a hotel or School or any other profit making venture. At this point I had to cut in to provide the much needed clarity.

I simply told him, that there are people like Dr. Godwin Maduka who cry daily because of poor living standard of people occasioned by bad governance. I made him understand that the current anger being expressed by our youths today started a long time ago, the likes of Dr. Godwin Maduka converted his own anger towards providing good health care, quality education through his scholarship programmes, youths empowerment etc.

At this point my good friend Onyebuchi totally agreed with me that this anger being expressed by our vibrant youths started a long time ago and pledged his support to Dr. Godwin Maduka for his acts of kindness.

These rare qualities exhibited by Dr. Godwin Maduka are in short supply among today’s leaders and Anambra State yearns for Dr. Godwin Maduka’s transformational innovation.
