The Deputy Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Mallam Gani Audu has defected to the People’s Democratic party along with his Hundreds of supporters in a meeting concluded late night in Benin.

Gani Audu who sighted the attitude of the party to recognize and allow him air his views on public campaigns felt his importance is not needed and will be a stooge with no significance.

He noted in anger how Dr Pius Odubu’s impact wasn’t felt as a deputy Governor to Comrade Oshiomhole and would not want to experience such marginalization.

Gani angrily left the meeting summoned by Oshiomhole, Captain Hosa and some APC Stalwarts and threatened to openly declare support for Obaseki and Shaibu and join the People’s Democratic party. Attempt to Savage the situation was unsuccessful as talks to pacify him were not positive.

As at the time of this report, Gani Audu has contacted some PDP Chieftain to intimate them of his intention to join the party.
