Rachel Goodle, a female teacher allegedly had sex in her classroom with one of her male students for one hour. The 22years-old has been charged with second-degree sexual assault of a child under the age of 16 and sexual assault of a student by school staff, after reportedly getting involved with one of her pupils at Oak Creek High School in Wisconsin, USA.
According to the criminal complaint, the Oak Creek Police Department was called in by the school, following reports of an inappropriate relationship between a student and a teacher.
An internal school investigation prior to the cops getting involved uncovered footage of Goodle and the student having an apparent “close relationship”.
This includes images of the pair “spending an inordinate amount of time together, and arriving and sitting together at a school sporting event. The two sat away from the student section”, which sparked concerns.
WTMJ was told by investigators that a video shows Goodle and the victim meeting inside her classroom on December 2 last year.
The pair appeared to have gone inside and closed the door at 4.49pm, before opening it again 18 minutes later when another member of staff arrived.
The pair then left the classroom together at 5.42pm, 53 minutes after they had initially gone in.
According to the local news channel, the student told the detective that he had sex with his teacher in the back of the classroom.
The boy’s lawyer issued a family statement which read: “This is the second time in less than six years that an Oak Creek High School teacher has been charged with sexually assaulting a student inside the walls of the school.
“The first charges were brought forward on October 13, 2017, and resulted in a guilty plea on January 26, 2018.
“This second charge in less than six years reveals an issue that goes beyond the high school. An investigation directed at the highest levels of the Oak Creek Franklin School District (OCFSD), including the superintendent and school board, must be completed.”
Goodle is expected to make her first appearance in court next month on August 11 and could face over 40 years in prison if she’s convicted.
