Teacher buys gun for boy as birthday present

A teacher is said to have bought a gun for one of her students after romping with him and sending him nude selfies.

Tyesha Bolden, 35, is facing a lengthy sentence behind bars after admitting to having a sexual relationship with a then 13-year-old student. She bought the youngster a hand gun for their birthday and sent explicit photographs to him last year.

The former teacher pleaded guilty to second-degree sexual assault of a child age 16 and under and to one count of providing a dangerous weapon to a child.

Bolden is believed to have become the boy’s teacher in October 2022 and had started sending nude photographs by early 2023.

It was just a few months later when the boy’s mother believed her son and his teacher were having an inappropriate relationship. The police were soon called and a search of the youngster’s phone from his mother unveiled the explicit conversations.

A complaint lodged claims photos had been exchanged between the two, with a school supervisor soon confronting Bolden at the school. She admitted the student had spent the night at her house and was terminated by the supervisor.

Said supervisor also looked through Bolden’s phone and found evidence of the explicit text messages. The student has since told investigators Bolden had sex with him in a woodland area just before the end of the school term in June.

Bolden, who is believed to be facing up to 40 years in prison, had also bought the youngster a gun after he aired concerns of his safety through the summer holidays.

Around 2,000 text messages were sent between the two, with Bolden refusing to purchase a second gun for the youngster, with their encounters together ending soon afterwards.

She will be sentenced March 1 by Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Ellen R. Brostrom. It is believed the teacher could be facing 40 years behind bars.
