Comrade Ndubuisi Igwekanyi, a loyalist and adherent of the late Ikemba Nnewi, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, has declared that it is time to tell Ndi-Anambra and the entire world the truth about the origin of the group called Ikemba Front.
Igwekanyi, who spoke exclusively with this journalist, said that those now parading themselves as founders of Ikemba Front, knew nothing about the movement because Ikemba Front, according to him, was the brainchild of the late Biafran warlord, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, whom he said originated Ikemba Front as a veritable platform for Ikemba warriors.
He said what some selfish and self-centred individuals were doing with Ikemba Front because they were not settled with political appointments by the Soludo administration were totally wrong and that the late Ikemba Nnewi would be cursing them from his grave.
Comrade Ndubuisi Igwekanyi who went down memory lane regarding the origin and formation of Ikemba Front, urged Ndi-Anambra not to be deceived by people who have been paid to destroy the legacies and soul of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu.
Igwekanyi said those eating from the crumbs and remnants of the incumbent senator representing Anambra-south should be mindful of the lies and deceits they go about feeding people with because he believes that Ikemba Front is not for sale and has no connection with the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra and anywhere in the world.
He said he has been in the struggle from the inception of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and he could remember vividly what the late Ikemba Nnewi told him in his house with respect to Igbo nation being under one political platform which saw Chief Chekwas Okorie as the first national chairman of APGA but was later booted out of the party.
He therefore expressed deep concern that some self-opinionated individuals with inordinate ambitions were trying to usurp the glory and legendary accomplishments of the late Ikemba Nnewi whom he said formed Ikemba Front that some elements were trying to steal by claiming to be founders and originators of Ikemba-Front which they are currently using as a political structure for Sen. Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah of the APC, the Senator representing Anambra-South senatorial zone in the Senate.
According to him, those claiming to be founders of Ikemba Front today were not telling people the truth because Ikemba Front is an institution singlehandedly founded by the late Ikemba Nnewi during his lifetime. He also added that those who have decided to turn their backs against APGA and support opposition political parties should not drag Ikemba-Front into it because Ikemba Front he said has absolutely nothing to do with APC.
Igwekanyi however maintained that Ikemba warriors whom he said were offsprings of Ikemba Front were ready to defend the brainchild of the late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu with the last drop of their blood to prove to the world that people claiming to be founders of Ikemba Front now were liars from the pit of hell.
He therefore admonished members of the public to disregard whatever message they dished out because those people, according to him, are protecting their own personal political interests because they were kicked out of APGA over anti-party activities and not the interest of the generality of Ndigbo; that the said fake founders of Ikemba-Front are working for the APC in Anambra state.
He also disclosed that the real Ikemba Front warriors would hold a world press conference cum summit next week to address salient issues about Ikemba Front, to save unsuspecting citizens from the wiles and deceits of dissident desperate politicians who have sworn not to allow the soul of the late Ikemba Nnewi and Ezeigbo Gburu Gburu, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, rest in peace because of their selfish inordinate ambitions.
When contacted for his response regarding the formation of Ikemba Front, one of the chieftains championing Ikemba-Front recently, Hon. Arinzechukwu Awogu, said he was away in Owerri Imo state and he would respond accordingly when he was away in Owerri, Imo State and he would respond accordingly when he was done with his preoccupation.
