Katsina: Crowd Responds With ‘Sai Atiku’ As Tinubu Shouts APC

Atiku to Tinubu: CBN lacks power to receive NNPCL crude sales

The All Progressives Congress (APC) was ridiculed during a campaign rally in Katsina State, President Muhammadu Buhari’s home state, since the audience continued chanting “Atiku” as the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, screamed “APC” and “Nigeria” throughout the event.

Several high-profile members of the APC were reportedly present at the gathering, including President Buhari, APC presidential candidate Bola Tinubu, his running partner Kashim Shettima, APC National Chairman Abdullahi Adamu, state governor Aminu Masari, and others.

Speaking during the event, Tinubu outlined his arguments against a second term for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in front of the crowd in Kastina. Additionally, he stated his intention to address the issue of “insecurity” in the nation.

He said that although the president had good intentions, “16 years of the PDP were a waste,” and that if he were elected, he would make sure that nobody was left behind.

To counteract the APC candidate’s chants of “APC” and “Nigeria,” supporters instead sang the name of Atiku Abubakar, Nigeria’s former vice president.

There was a similar claim weeks earlier when the APC held a presidential campaign rally in Adamawa, the home state of the PDP candidate.

Aminu Masari, a member of the APC and a former Speaker of the House, now serves as Governor of Katsina.
