MAZI SIMON EKPA – HERO OR VILLAIN

MAZI SIMON EKPA - HERO OR VILLAIN

On Dec.14, 2022, there was a disturbing headline on Vanguard News: “Sit-at-home: Are you a hero or villain?, Ohanaeze asks Simon Ekpa”.

First, a brief history of Ohanaeze Ndi-Igbo: As an apex socio-cultural organisation comprising Igbo elites and statesmen, its objective was basically to foster unity and the overall interests of its people, as well as advancing their aspirations across the five Igbo states, including all the Igbo communities spread across seven other states.

From Ben Nwabueze in 1976, to Nnia Nwodo, and to George Obiozor (who died on Dec.28,2022), these presidents-general never served the people well. To most Igbo, the organisation is as good as scrapped because it has reduced our standing especially in Nigeria.

Ohanaeze, most state governors and politicians ever since have remained silent and supportive of the wanton killings of our people by the Fulani herdsmen, terrorists and infiltrated Armed Forces. For instance, Nnia Nwodo was heavily despised for being a Fulani stooge. He liased with David Umahi of Ebonyi state, and other eastern governors in the unfortunate and mischievous but fruitless ban on #IPOB. Moreso, when Nyesom Nwike of Rivers state committed #Genocide in #Obigbo in the last quarter of 2020, he applauded him by singing for him. This was his painful legacy.

George Obiozor continued on the infamous legacy of his predecessor. Why wouldn’t he? Afterall, #MiyettiAllah (a terrorist group) recommended him to Imo state administrator – Hope Uzodinma. Was that not enough to know whose interests he pursued and protected? Certainly so!

From the foregoing, they were all anti-Biafra. Their repulsive dispositions towards Biafra made them perceive Mazi Nnamdi Kanu as an “enemy”. In order to clear the way for the 2023 elections, the kidnap of MNK was conceived and carried out mid-2021. Those involved were Ohanaeze, Politicians, DOS-IPOB, Fulani and Britain.

Their overriding objective was to subdue and quench the Biafran Agitation, but they failed because the Creator of the Universe is the Owner of our agitation. The #HandOfGod, therefore, led to the emergence of #Autopilots-#IPOB. The Rescue from the “local and international coup plotters” was Glorious. This proved, once again, that God is the All-in-All! The Hand of God, again, picked Mazi Simon Ekpa (whose calling wasn’t entirely noticed) as #Spokesperson. In this context, every genuine person would agree with me that he has been awesome and phenomenal ever since.

Eventually, in order to demonstrate that Autopilots are in total control of Biafraland, and to mentally prepare our people for what is (might) come, MSEkpa declared a 5-day sit-at-home (#SAH). The dates being December 9, 10, 11, 12 and 14, 2022. Predictably, Ohanaeze and its cohorts were furious, felt threatened and humiliated, especially when the Biafran people complied as usual. Guess its reaction? Their leaders hurriedly sent a written message to David Umahi amongst others requesting that Mazi Simon Ekpa be called to order, whilst asking: “Are you a Hero or villain?

One Alex Ogbonnia, Ohanaeze spokesman opined thus: “It is, therefore, incomprehensible and irreconcilable for the likes of Simon Ekpa to contemplate more days for the sit-at-home…”
Dear independent reader, at this juncture, you don’t have to be told what is pissing them off. They lamented that the civil disobedience was hurting the economy when in reality, as villains their “present and future over-survival” is endangered.

Now, without writing further, compare and contrast Ohanaeze’s brainless question to a Biafran Hero -MSE, with the quote from the killers’ and kidnappers’ spokesman -Gumi, published on Daily Times, December 26, 2022: “Bandits Are Our People, Vote Leaders Who Won’t Fight Them – Sheikh Gumi.

At this point, I believe the jury has returned its verdict (in favour of Mazi Simon Ekpa, and the overwhelming majority of Biafrans). In conclusion, the questioners are therefore the villains and predators. They are shamed indeed!
