National Chairman, African Democratic Congress to Receive Award in Anambra

National chairman, African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ralphs Okey Nwosu is set to bag Political Icon of the Decade/ Lifetime Achievement Award at the prestigious AMTY Awards.

 

The Icon of Democracy and Founder will be honored alongside other deserving Anambrarians like Engr. Emeka Ezeh, Dr Emeka Uzoeto, Barr. Amaka Ezeno, Prof Philomena Igbokwe, Prof Ifeoma Egbuonu, High Chief Dr Darlington Nwabunike, Chief Dr. Victor Ide-Okoye, Dr Ikenna Ifejiofor, Ichie Sunday Ezeobiora, Barr. Helen Mbakwe and host of others.

 

The event which is slated for Friday, 29th December 2023, at the Stanel Dome, Awka will be chaired by the erudite Professor Emeka Ezeonu, Founding Vice-Chancellor, Hezekiah University, Umudi, and former INEC REC; while the keynote address will be delivered by the Rector, Federal Polytechnic Oko, Anambra State, Engr. Dr Francisca Unoma Nwafulugo.

 

Ralphs Okey Nwosu is the founder and national chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), a transformation-focused political party that has grown to become one of the strongly emerging parties in Nigeria with a distinct DNA.

As a political leader, he has championed many causes, including bringing values into politics, affirmative action for female representation in the legislative house and executive appointment, cutting down the cost of running government, changing the culture of political democracy practice in Nigeria and Africa, and advocating for restoring full power and integrity to the Local Government councils in Nigeria, supporting a bottom-up development paradigm for more grassroots and sustainable national development.

 

Nwosu has been involved in all the major Coalitions for a New Nigeria.

In 2019, the Coalition for Nigeria movement founded by former President Olusegun Obasanjo coalesced into ADC. Nwosu anchors the African Strategy Concourse, a Pan-African leadership platform rethinking how Africa and Africans will become more relevant to themselves and the rest of the world.

 

Ralphs Nwosu, a man of admirable multiple identities, is a successful businessman. He is the founder and Chairman of St Flairs Awards Ltd, which he founded in 1985. As one of the pioneers in the Awards and promotional business subsector, St Flairs grew under him to become the business leader in Nigeria and a great industrial player globally. Looking forward to celebrating the 40th Anniversary soon, Ralphs says that the company is rejigging to build a legacy of a corporation by 2025 and will set up the Awards Academy and Museum in Awka as part of its global vision.

 

Ralphs Nwosu is also the chairman of Ace Golden Moments Ltd, which inspires, builds, celebrates excellence and endearing cultures, traditions, and legacies. Nwosu has equally journeyed into the tech business by promoting a youth and innovation-centric Digital Oxygen Hub Ltd with headquarters in Abuja. Digital Oxygen provides diverse tech-solutions, hosts incubation centres, and offers training and boot camps.

 

Ralphs Okey Nwosu was born in Awka, Anambra State. He holds the traditional title of Ikolo Dike Orabueze Awka, which was bestowed on him in 1994 by Eze Uzu 1 of Awka ancient kingdom.

He graduated from St. Edward’s University, Austin Texas, USA, in 1982, majoring in chemistry with a minor in Liberal Arts.

He has a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership (MSOL) from Norwich University, Northfield, Vermont, USA. A lifelong learning practitioner and advocate, he runs postgraduate programs in leadership & Change and Seminal Studies at Antioch University PhD in Leadership & Change programs, Ohio, USA.

 

Ralphs Okey Nwosu is successfully married and has five children.
