Ogun Govt. Urges Workers To Be Hardworking, God-Fearing

Staff of Ogun State Ministry of Transportation have been urged to work diligently, assiduously, also for the success of the ministry’s set of goals and with fear of God, “as we enter the new year”.

 

This was contained in the address of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Abdulwaheed Olanloye at the 2024 First work day inter-denominational prayers and thanksgiving session for the staff of the ministry, held at the Ministry’s Conference room, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, the state capital.

He implored the staff and management of the ministry to be committed to work, in order to justify the huge amount of money expended on thr state’s workforce, saying that the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun appreciated the workers for given them Christmas bonus which the past administration could afford.

 

According to him “I want to formally welcome everyone into the new year. It is important to remind us the need to be committed, committed and hardworking in our official duty calls, so that we can grow as a Ministry and as a State at large.

Also, be punctual to office and prone into action. You must remain dedicated and hardworking for the Ministry to actualise the “ISEYA” mantra of Prince Dapo Abiodun’s administration, appreciated the State friendly Governor for the robust end of the year package for the civil servants in the State.

 

Delivering the sermon, Mr. Idowu Onasanya, Director of Administration and Supplies in the Ministry, spoke on the topic ‘Crossing over to great and mighty wind’ sharing from the book of Jeremiah 29 verse 11 of the Holy Bible, where he reminded the people of God’s plans for everyone, saying it is only left for man to key into the plans of God for a purposeful living.

“God has plans for each and everyone of us and it’s just for us to key into it, not relying on our human wisdom. Don’t live in the flesh but in the spirit of God, relate peacefully with one another and possess a heart of Thanksgiving to God, so as to avoid falling”, Onasnya said.

 

In the same vein, Engr. Bamidele Hassan, Director of Transport Engineering Services also shared from the Quran on the need for repentance from every sinful act, assuring that Allah’s forgiveness is wide, emphasized on the reward for hardwork, saying Allah will surely rewards those who worked hard.
