OSM blows hot on Festus Ebea; asks him to stop disgracing Esanland with anti-Esan political campaign
The Obaseki Shaibu Movement (OSM) a pro-good governance group has taken Hon Festus Ebea to the cleaners as the group blasts the former Deputy Speaker of the Edo state House of Assembly for attempting to use propaganda to deceive Esan people and score political point for his Principal, Pastor Osagie Ize-iyamu.
According to OSM, the former deputy speaker is an enemy of Esanland who is only concerned simply with his personal political gains without the interest of his Esan people at heart.
The OSM is asking what Hon Ebea was “thinking when he wrote such a disgraceful article with a meaningless heading. It was not only funny to see such article emanating from a supposed former lawmaker in the Edo state House of Assembly but a big shame to the good people of Esan land, who may be wondering right now if the former lawmaker who happens to be from this Edo central actually thinks he has made a whole lot of sense with such article that has no focus and element of patriotism in it.”
“Come to think of it, what does the former lawmaker take the good people of Esanland for, that we are fools? That they do not think? That their brains are not in order? That they do not know what they are doing? That they are mad people or that they do not know Politics?”
“May we be permitted in the Spirit of our love for the great and intelligent people of Esanland, to demand some answers to very critical questions from the former lawmaker? If you claim Philip Shaibu will be contesting after Governor Godwin Obaseki, what makes you think Gani Audi will not contest after Pastor Osagie Ize-iyamu? What makes you think Taiwo Akerele, Seid Oshiomhole, John Mayaki, Clem Agba and the rest of them from Edo North are not warming up to become the Governor of Edo state in the next couple of years immediately after Ize-iyamu? Can you see how you have reduced the intelligence of the great Esanland before the general public with your analysis, tell us Mr. Honourable if any reasonable person out there will take your article of such poor analysis serious in any manner? You have not only written what will make the general public look down on Esan people, you have succeeded in disgracing them with such poor piece. Are you really sure you are from Esanland, because the Esan we know have in uncountable numbers, some of the best brains not just in Nigeria, but beyond, so where exactly do you hail from because your character is not of Esan in any manner. Or could it be that you knew what you were doing, but decided to deceive your own people to score political point for your principal just to realize your selfish interest, I think that is the case here, but can you see how deceitful and cunning you can be? No wonder the article was laced with big vocabularies that may make the gullible think you have made a whole lot of sense, but certainly not people like the real Esan people we know.
“It is quit unfortunate, very unfortunate indeed, that after 29 years of the creation of Edo state, your own tribe, your own people and ethnic group which is your immediate identity within the state has ruled the state for just about one year only, yet, as if that is not enough reason for you to be wiser in the political system of the state and be very sensitive to be able to demand what is yours as quick as possible, you are fighting so hard in order for your people to wait for another 8 good years before they can rule the state, by boldly coming out to demand for their support for Ize-iyamu when there is an opportunity before them to rule the state in the next 4 years. Sometimes, I wonder how exactly people of your kind found their way into the Edo state House of Assembly to be Representing a people as intelligent and very politically informed as Esan, or were you rigged into power by the liked of Adams Oshiomhole? Truly, I wonder how it happened, because from your activities and political culture, you are ordinarily very much far from qualification to represent any segment of people in Esanland. Well, maybe it is simply because of the society we found ourselves, because in a sane society you will not have any opportunity to near a political system with this political culture of yours, let alone contesting and winning election to represent the interest of a people, let us quickly borrow the language of your own people, which you may understand better, Amufia? Akonobhotor?
“More worrisome it is that instead of you to still hide your face in shame just like a secrete betrayal, you are still coming out openly to write an article of propaganda just to force your own people to work against their own glorious future and eviable destiny. Could it be that people no longer have the fear of God at all or the problem is that greediness has become the order of the day among Nigerian Politicians. Maybe that should be a question for another day.
“While ordinarily any person wanting to convince a people will come out with observable fact and verifiable evidence, you are here in the public domain with a bunch of propaganda thinking we have become so gullible to be deceived by your piece poorly arranged to deceive a whole ethnic group just to realize your selfish gain. Since you claim Governor Godwin Obaseki will not handover to Esanland, while not show us a written document of your pastor candidate where he boldly signed that he will rule for one term and then hand over power to Esanland or at least, show us a written document where he even claimed he will give power back to Esanland after his two term. Sometimes, the character of people like you speaks volume of the high level of selfishness that has bedeviled our Political system in Nigeria. Oh! We cry for the day Esanland lost patriots like Prof. Ambrose Alli and Chief Anthony Enahoro of blessed memory even as we pray for God’s blessings upon the ones of those two’s nature in Esanland today.
“Instead of you to come out and tell the Esan people why Adams Oshiomhole did not see people like you and those of you from Edo central supporting his evil agenda, capable enough to be Deputy Governor, but went to his own place to bring a candidate, you are here deceiving yourself. On a normal circumstances, should you not be ashamed, are you too small to be a Deputy Governor? But, instead, you are unfortunately very much proud of yourself even to the point that you can still boldly write an article, and instead of you to write the article for only yourself, you brought it out for public consumption, to solicit for support from your own people in a bid to relegate them politically in the state, just because you want to eat from the State Treasury, please clap for yourself oh ye son of Esanland.
“To you, the same Adams Oshiomhole that has recently influenced more than 5 different Federal Appointments to the state with no single one given to Edo central, (not even those of you who are his hailers and praise singers), will leave his own Edo North tomorrow and give Esanland a Governorship slot, you are indeed a Political Thinker, a great Esan son that means well for Esanland, what a big shame! In all, may God save the great and wonderful people of Esanland from people of your kind because you are indeed dangerous to the common interest of the Great Esan People of Edo state. Just a friendly reminder, Obaseki has the highest Support from your own Esanland, and we say may God Bless Esanland, for with Governor Godwin Obaseki they Stand! And with him they have vowed to sincerely Remain!”
