THE NEED FOR POLITICAL INTEGRITY IN NIGERIA

POLITICAL INTEGRITY IN NIGERIA: It is no longer news that there has been a daylight robbery of true democracy in Edo State, Nigeria amidst the hunger, hardship and difficulty her citizens are currently facing due to COVID-19 Pandemic that is yet to leave the whole world.

The highest level of injustice to anyone that the whole world can attest to has just been played out been in the ”supposed Democracy Day in Nigeria.

The ”unpopular screening of the All Progressives Congress Gubernatorial Aspirants in which Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki, Hon.Matthew Iduoriyekemwen and Engineer Chris Ogiemwonyi were not cleared clearly shows the need why the Masses need to always appreciate Good Leaders and support their course irrespective of the challenges they face in their daily lives, as these leaders are usually subjected to the most difficult situations anyone can ever imagine due to the high rate of godfatherism and corruption in the country.

The late Moshood Kashimawo Abiola who was ”politically robbed” broad day light in the famous June 12,1993 presidential elections in the 20th Century Military Era of General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida who later annulled the elections due to ”selfish motives” has just been played out in the case of ”The most loved and Democratic Leader Edo has ever had” since Her existence from August 27th, 1991 up till date, in the person of Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki, who is now the ”TRUE HERO OF NIGERIA’S 21ST CENTURY DEMOCRACY”.

The political robbery which has sparked up so many reactions within and outside the country clearly shows that the wish of the people for better leadership was not represented, as the ”selfish motives” of the elites in Edo State now supercedes the interest of the Good People of Edo State as things stand which has many people as this fundamental question of ”was that decision to remove Obaseki democratic in Nigeria’s Democracy Day?”

Having said that, it high time we begin to support the few Good Leaders we have left and not easily crucify or judge them easily, as was in the case of Former President Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan who has been adjudged by Nigerians all over the world to be one of the best Presidents Nigeria has ever had in Her political History.

Let us always appreciate Good Leaders irrespective of the lapses they encounter while in office because most of their misfortunes may be stemming from within their political parties which the Masses may not see at first but will certainly come to realise as time progresses.

Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki has proven to be a ”Hero” in Nigeria’s 21st Century Democracy and I Comrade Obayuwana Bobby Eghosa will continue to support Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki no matter where he goes because he has earned my love and respect for him as a ”TRUE LEADER & DEMOCRAT” with a difference.

Moreover, I would rather prefer to ”honourably lose” with Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki than support and celebrate the ”arranged victory of any politician” whose philosophy & ideology do not reflect the interest of the Masses and the Good People of Edo State.

May God Bless every NIGERIAN with Good Conscience whose hopes have been dashed to the mud with the ”dirty politicking and politricking” in the country!

Notwithstanding the current ugly circumstances we may face, I want to urge all of us to stay strong and hope on God for the outcome of what might happen next because the battle of the Lord’s not men because the will of God must be done in Edo State no matter what His People currently face as trials.

Moreover, I wish to urge ALL GOVERNOR GODWIN NOGHEGHASE OBASEKI’S SUPPORTERS to be expectant of Victory at the end of this struggle because ”it is never over until it is really over”.

I rest my pen and case for now while the political drama unfolds subsequently.
