A group known as the Concerned Youths of Nyinawusu, in the Atwima Mponua district of the Ashanti Region have warned the current Assembly member, Erica Appiah Kubi to stay away from who becomes Committee Chairman.
She cannot determine who becomes the unit Committee Chairman.
Five peoples contest unit committee race in Kwanfifini electoral area, 3 from Nyinawusu community, one from Kantikyire and other one from Kwanfifini community. But elected Assembly member want use her veto power to appoint unit committee Chairman.
They also accused the Assembly member, Erica Appiah Kubi because of Chairman Koubon is a Northerner that is why she don’t want him to continue as Chairman.
In December 2024 some irate youth in the Nyinawusu community attacked the chief’s palace and defied attempts by the Police to prevent them from meting instant justice to the alleged robbers.
While four of the victims were killed on Thursday, a fifth person who survived the attack died on Friday night at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
