Arthur Nzeribe sold ARMS AND AMMUNITIONS to the Federal Military Government of Yakubu Gowon.
Those arms formed a greater part of what was used to kill many Igbos during the civil war of 1967 – 1970.
Even as the WAR raged, Nzeribe continued his business as he later described it.
After the war, everything was forgotten by the Igbos.
No mention of Gowon who was commander-in-chief giving the orders.
No mention of Murtala Mohammed, Sani Abacha, TY Danjuma, Babangida etc those men reputed to have wrecked havoc in Igbo land during the war.
Nearly every one of the mad SOLDIERS returned to the North with Igbo/SS wives.
Even Olúségun Obasanjo who took over from Black Scorpion Benjamin Adekunle in the bombardment of the East, till today is a HERO with the Igbos.
Igbos don’t remember the activities of men like Isaac Adaka Boro the Ijaw man and his soldiers who ultimately nailed the fate of the IGBOS.
After all said and done it was Chief Obafemi Awolowo who was Minister of Finance in Lagos who eventually CARRIED THE WHOLE BLAME.
Till today, the Igbos accuse him of killing 3million of their people during the war.
They DEMONIZED HIM.
But it is not because of that war. They only used that as diversionary in their PROPAGANDA.
As they were trying to destroy Awolowo ostensibly on account of the WAR, the same Igbos rewarded Arthur Nzeribe with the SENATE.
Nwafor Orizu was a very useless and fraudulent man in his days in the United States of America.
Although he was a “Prince” from Nnewi-Anambra State, it didn’t matter to him.
While staying in US, he designed an elaborate scheme whereby he fleeced his own Igbo people.
Scholarship came from a big Philanthropist in the US, a fellow black man, to Nigerians through Nwafor Orizu.
First, the man made sure his kinsmen were the only “beneficiaries”.
Second, he secured admissions for them in American Universities but at same time collected the exact sums of money from the “beneficiaries”, the same money which had already been fully paid for by the black American philanthropist.
His kinsmen came to the US having paid the full sums for their education, not aware of the scam that had happened.
Nwafor Orizu pocketed the money of the scholarships.
By the time the bubble bursted and he had to run away, it was at hairs breath.
