The member of the Strategic Communications Directorate of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Anthony Ehilebo, has faulted the decision of former president Olusegun Obasanjo to support the presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi, ahead of Atiku Abubakar of the PDP.

Anthony Ehilebo disclosed that it was Olusegun Obasanjo that picked Peter Obi as the vice presidential candidate of PDP in 2019 presidential election.

He stated that Obasanjo picked Peter Obi as the condition to support Atiku Abubakar in the 2019 presidential election.

Anthony Ehilebo went on to disclose that Obasanjo told Atiku Abubakar to pick Peter Obi as his running mate so that he can mentor Peter Obi so that on day, he can rise and run for the office of the presidency. Anthony Ehilebo wondered why Obasanjo decided to go back on his original plan for Obi.

Anthony Ehilebo stated that Obasanjo disappointed him with his decision not to prioritize experience and capacity. Anthony Ehilebo made this known during a television interview on Channels Television on Monday.
