GENOCIDAL MASSACRE OF INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF THE EAST (IGBOS); A CASE STUDY OF AWGU COMMUNITY IN ENUGU STATE BY ‘REPENTANT’ BOKO-HARAM TERRORISTS REABSORBED INTO THE NIGERIAN ARMY BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OF NIGERIA.

It is with great pains and irreparable sense of loss that SAVING LIVES IMPACT GLOBAL INITIATIVE (SLIGI) have carefully and painstakingly observed the menace and total Security collapse of the entirety of the Eastern Region divided into the South-East and South-South by successive Governments either for ease of adminstration and or for the purpose of divide and rule of a people tied together by common DNA, traits, culture and Tradition.

The total menace of the Eastern region today is directly and indirectly a consequence for the decades of incompetence, ineptitude and lackadaisical attributes of both successive and present public office holders of Eastern extraction and has not and never been the fault of any other person hence in public administration, the Arrowhead which in this case are the Elected representatives addressed above takes both all the praises for projects executed and all the blames for failure in office.

While we admit that the current Governors, Senators and Federal Representatives are victims of inherited administrative failure of previous Administrators, we beg to disagree that enough have been done with the allocations, security votes and internally generated revenues accumulated annually in these regions.

Of particular note is the incidence of November 1, 2021 where a whole town of Awgu in Enugu State, Eastern Nigeria was greeted with a warlike genocidal mission on unarmed and unsuspecting villagers of Igbo Extraction where an approximated 3,000 helpless people were violently and ferociously eliminated and unaccounted number of houses, shops, lockup stores burnt down and celebrated as in a warlike tone by the ravaging Nigerian soldiers.

It is regrettably lugubrious that the Governors who are the Chief Security Officers of their Various States, the Senators who are the Father’s of these zones in a siege and the Federal Representatives who act like Constituency brokers have turned a blind eye on the IGBO Jews who have for over 51 years agitated to leave this marriage forcefully bethrothed on them by Britain where they have over the years been massacred in their thousands and millions without any known provocation.

While you turn a blind eye to the total Security collapse bedeviling the entire Eastern Region, we want you to borrow a leaf from the your Northern and Western counterparts on how they have been consolidating power and playing along with the youths in the grassroots so as to have a first-hand knowledge and control of the security achitecture of their region.

Recently, it was glaring how an Islamic cleric Sheik Gumi was either appointed or Volunteered to assist the obviously overwhelmed Elected Political leaders of Northern extraction to reach out openly and transparently to the youths causing mayhem and or those with the potential to cause mayhem. Lots of video evidences emerged how he held town hall meetings with Bandits terrorising the North-East and North-Central while openly profering solutions to them. Sometimes, the Bandits granted interviews to selected and screened Investigative journalists where their greviances were aired.

However, we have noted with utter disappointment the brazen intimidation of Governors, Ex-Governors and sitting Senators of Eastern extraction aimed at belittling, demeaning and intimidating them out of the corridors of power or into submission to the Feudal Oligarchs of the North through the instrumentality of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). It has now become absolutely imperative for all of you our Senators and Representatives to reach out physically to these Warring youths agitating for economic and financial freedom since the chairs of politics have been occupied.

You can’t be witch-hunted by your Northern counterparts and at the same time be hounded at home by the same youths you were meant to represent and interface with.

However, some videos that have been making round the social media, where a platoon of Nigerian Army supposedly on Exercise Golden Dawn and Exercise Still-Waters respectively went round a peaceful and calm village allegedly in Agwu, Enugu State firing sporadically and directly into civilian homes, burning shops and razing down buildings with General Purpose Machine Guns (GPMG) and Anti-aircraft (AA) while celebrating the arson on live video.

It is however unfortunate that the elected Political representatives of the said Eastern region (South-East and South-South) being invaded namely; Governors, Senators and Members of House of Representatives have kept silent and turned blind eye in the face of total annihilation of their electorates and introduction of Armageddon of their Various States, senatorial zones and constituencies in the name of Exercise Golden Dawn and Exercise Still-Waters which has proved to be a covert Military operation singling out a particular ethnic group for genocidal massacre and ethnic cleansing.

A critical look at the emerging videos of these arson shows that these are not the trained Nigerian Soldiers that we had known to be friendly and civil with civilians. For example, some of the alleged soldiers dressed and behaved like motor park touts lacking basic military training, discipline and Professionalism.

One of the assailants who was spotted in the video evidence was holding the chain bullets wearing ordinary civilian black face cap instead of Military face cap while the second assailant who fired GPMG and AA sporadically into Civilian holes was spotted either tying his camouflage on his waist or made a Gown (Agbada) out of it. While we observed the recklessness of the duo where the shooter almost shot his partner in the head. An evidence of unprofessionalism. This raises serious doubts if those sent for this Exercise Golden Dawn are not the ‘repentant’ Boko-Haram terrorists reabsorbed openly into Nigerian Army by the Federal Government of Nigeria after decimating our real soldiers.

Globally, soldiers are guilded by uniform traits, uniform standards and uniform Rules of Engagement and in the case of the entire Eastern Region, we are not in a war situation otherwise a State of Emergency would have been declared hence a stitch in time saves Nine.

We wonder why GPMG and AA are brought down to the East when foreign Terrorists gradually and systematically pushing out Nigeria soldiers,, raising their flags and conducting Elections and overpowering Nigerian soldiers in the North with superior firing power.

It is a shame that those in power can no longer walk freely around the States they Govern nor freely patrol to inspect the Senatorial districts and Constituencies that you represent.

We are therefore using this medium to call on the people’s representatives most especially the Senators and the Members, House of Representatives to brace up and start real bridge building, establishing contact of peace accords with the fraustrated, restive youths whose talents have not been utilized, who have no level playing ground to unleash their potentials and whose bright future have been morgaged through protracted years of negligence, human capital and infrastructural underdevelopment.

THOSE WHO THINK THIS INSECURITY MENACE IS NOT THEIR BUSINESS SHOULD REMEMBER THEY HAVE RELATIONS, KINDREDS, VILLAGES AND TOWNS THAT ARE WITHOUT SECURITY DETAILS AND CONVOYS.
