A woman’s boyfriend is mad at her for ordering a second dinner.
She explained the situation on Reddit’s “Am I the A******? (AITA)” forum. After losing her appetite due to RSV, she finally got it back and looked forward to a large meal. They didn’t have any groceries at home.
Just before 6:00 p.m., she called her boyfriend to let him know she was ordering delivery and asked if he wanted any. He told her to wait until he got home at 6:30 p.m. so they could order together. At around 6:45 p.m., he told her not to order and that he would pick up food on the way home.
“By 8PM I hadn’t heard anything from him and I was starving,” she wrote. “I ordered some food and figured I’d eat whatever food got to me first and eat the other dish for lunch tomorrow.”
Her food and her boyfriend didn’t show up until 8:45 p.m. Her boyfriend was furious.
“He was p***** that I apparently consider him such a ‘failure’ that I needed a contingency plan,” she explained.
People felt the boyfriend did fail in his mission.
“As someone with time blindness, I am sympathetic towards your bf, but he’s being very inconsiderate,” a user wrote.
“I don’t get his problem. Extra food means less cooking,” another said.
“He did fail. He completely disregarded you and your needs,” someone added.
