NDI ANAMBRA: THE MONEY HAS FINSIHED.
Gov Obiano Should Stop Politics Of Bitterness.

The governor of Anambra state, Chief Willie Obiano has only few months left in office. By this time next year, he should be writing his handover note and making arrangements for the inauguration of the incoming governor on march 17, 2022.

This is a governor that came into power in 2014 and had everything needed for him to succeed but he chose to fail. As at March 2014 when he came in, no civil servant was being owed, all contractors were paid and most importantly, there was a 75 billion naira in the govt purse.

Today, the governor through his State Commissioner for Works, Marcel Ifejiofor, disclosed to journalists at Awka that the govt is seeking about N150 billion naira to fix roads in the state.

Agu Awka said, “Most of the roads in the state are suffering because of lack of funds to put them in order.”

Obiano said there is no money to fix the roads in Anambra state and this is a governor that just accessed 25 billion naira bond from the federal government few weeks ago as revealed by a senator from the state.

Most importantly, if there are no money to fix the roads in the state why then was the governor doing everything to stop senator Dr Ikemba Ifeanyi Ubah from rehabilitating the federal roads in Anambra south senatorial zone?

Is the governor enjoying the bad roads and potholes that have taken over all the roads Peter Obi did in Anambra? Is it not ‘politics of bitterness’ for a governor who through his commissioner said the state has no fund to fix the roads in the state, spending public fund to block another elected representatives of the people from coming to aid of the people?

Politics of bitterness doesn’t attract development. Now that they have squandered all the money and left the state broke, that they can’t even fix the roads done by previous administrations, it is important that the state step aside and support the lawmakers especially the national assembly members who are now doing most of the roads in the state.

They should step aside and cheer senators Ifeanyi Ubah, Uche Ekwunife, Stella Oduah, Hon Azubogu, Hon Ofumelu and few others who are now working on most of the roads in the state.

The era of propaganda is over. It is now obvious that the squandering was deep and deeper, that they can’t even fix potholes on the roads.

Sad.
