Saint Innocent of Workman International wrote on fatherhood and said “Being a father is not a Siamese twin of being married but a lifestyle preconditioned by a man’s ability to shoulder responsibilities.

The word father is synonymous with the word Abba which translate to mean the Source and the Sustainer.

These two key words are critical to understanding the intentions of God as to fatherhood responsibilities and it definition or meaning

In God’s mind, being married does not ultimately define a father, marriage only symbolise your intention to be the father but the one that takes a responsibility to keep another person in line to fulfill their destiny is the father

Therefore to be a father, the man should perpetually worship in the synagogue of  responsibilities as to being:

The provider


The giver


The teacher


The leader


The defender


The lifter

It is not a coincidence that the word father has six letter words and we also have the six core functions of a father as listed above, this is because a father by creators design has six problem to deal with through out his life time:


1)The problem of work
2)The problem of authority
3)The problem of management
4)The problem of faith
5)the problem of principles
6)The problems of purpose

God has to give the man these six problems to solve to keep him in position of the father and a breach of any of them or all of them questions your fatherhood claims.

This is why the world has plenty men but only few fathers  hence they often mistake having children to being a father.

Workman social research shows, a good number of men in contemporary society often renege on fatherhood responsibilities, this has been revealed by a shift in household power in many parts of the world.

Saint innocent concluded thus, the man is born but he  must become a father.
