Saturday, June 26, 2021, is the date for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary election in Anambra State. As the D-day nears, all the aspirants are reaching out to the party delegates to sell their manifestoes.

The PDP, right from the national level to the South-East caucus, wants the first among the aspirants to triumph over the ruling party in the November 6th election and reclaim the governorship position in the state, lost 15 years ago.

Based on the results of credible opinion polls and the clear expectations by the majority of the party faithful, Doctor Maduka has consistently maintained his ranking as the first.

Judging from the profiles of all the aspirants, Dr Godwin Maduka comfortably remains the first in educational qualifications and the first to build the tallest building in Anambra State. He is also the first in community development, as well as the first in terms of huge supports from the PDP family in Anambra State.

Besides his impressive leadership capabilities, Maduka is also the first in providing genuine succour to the poor and the downtrodden and a man with an unmatched spirit of philanthropy, evident in his hometown, Umuchukwu and beyond.

Indeed, without a doubt, the PDP delegates have also recognised that he is the first in terms of ability and capacity to match the ruling party in every area in the prosecution of the November election.

Anambra election is not for a struggler,the party needs Dr Godwin Maduka, who is truly prepared to restore her position as the ruling party in the state.

Thus this might be the right time for other aspirants to show their loyalty and love for the party by joining forces with Dr Maduka (the first) to bring back the much eluded glory to the party. Anything short of the first is not good for the party.

And for the delegates, you have interacted with Dr Maduka; you have seen and heard the great things he has done; you have also felt his generous personality and loved it. You also admired his humility, despite being classified among the richest. This is the time to show that you want the party to succeed and reclaim its lost glory.

Your aspirations for good governance perfectly fit into Dr Godwin Maduka’s manifestoes, condensed into an all-inclusive 10-point agenda.

Maduka’s ultimate goal is to make Anambra the first in good governance, healthcare delivery, world-class infrastructure and the first in agriculture, education, transportation, ICT, strategic women and youth empowerment amongst others.

Anambra PDP, this is no time for gambling. It is the time to go for the first because the PDP now has the first in Anambra: Dr Godwin Maduka.
