KWARA NORTH AGENDA, A COLLECTIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

History is always there to guide us in making decisions. Otoge isn’t just a mantra it’s a reactionary approach by the good people of Kwara state to some decisions made by the Leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

PDP’s failure in 2019 to feed a candidate from Kwara North led to the fall of the party in Kwara state. Till today they’re still struggling to win a local government constituency since 2019, a ruling party fell so badly from top to bottom.

It has beckoned on The Progressive family at the moment not to make similar mistakes. One of the core values of Harmony is equal representation.

If a state is having issues with equal representation, there will be calls of marginalization by groups who feel deprived of certain positions in the state.
Sen. Bukola Saraki would have been able to aggregate these differing interests together by following the power shift agreement within the 3 senatorial districts of Kwara state but he didn’t do that as the leader of the party. Which contributed to the fall of the party in 2019.

I want to use this avenue to call on all Leaders and members of our great party, the largest party in Africa. The All Progressive Party (APC) in Kwara state to start looking at the Kwara north agenda as a collective one and void of distractions or personal interest.

Kwara North Agenda is that of the interest of the state and the interest of the state should be above every other interest.
I also want to use this medium to call on my fellow Progressives from Kwara North to look within and start preparing to take the pivotal role of piloting the affairs of the state of harmony.
