We'll immortalise late Tafida Ilorin, Kwara Speaker promises

The Speaker, Kwara state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi, has promised that late Tafida Ilorin will be immortalised.

 

Tafida of Ilorin, Dr. Amuda Aluko, died at the age of 85 in the early hours of Friday, 15th April.

 

Dr. Amuda Aluko  hailed from the Apabiekun family in Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State.



He was the Chief Medical Director and Chief Executive Officer of Geri Alimi Hospital, Ilorin

 

The Speaker, Kwara state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi condoles with His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, Alh. Dr. Ibrahim Zulu-Gambari, family friends and associates of Dr. Amuda Aluko, the Tafida of Ilorin, who passed on to the great beyond.

 

The legislator, in a statement issued through his Special Assistant on Media, Ibrahim Sheriff, described Dr. Aluko as an elder statesman, whose commitment and sacrifice to the making of a Kwara we can be proud of cannot be overemphasized, stressing the history of actualization of a Kwara that works for all is not complete without his name boldly written.

 

“On behalf of the 9th legislature of Kwara state, my heartfelt condolence goes to our father, His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Zulu-Gambari, family, friends and associates of Dr. Aluko, who departed at a time his wealth of experience is of great significance to our State and her people.”



“While we lack the power to undo the will of the Almighty, we will continue to immortalize our heroes past through living by their ideals and values of a sane society, where fairness, justice and equity reigns, that they are fulfilled even in death”, Danladi said.

 

Hon. Salihu Danladi seek Allah’s forgiveness for his shortcomings and prayed the elder statesman is granted Aljannatu Firdaous.
